The UCF ARENA is an 87,000 square foot multipurpose, air-conditioned facility that opened in August 1991. This state-of-the-art facility houses 31,000 square feet of exhibition space which can be utilized as five full basketball courts or adapted for various sports such as volleyball, wrestling, gymnastics and weightlifting. The Arena facility can also be transformed for concerts and banquets or as a convention/trade show event. VIP Skybox, meeting rooms, locker/dressing rooms, training room, kitchen and four concession stands are also housed in the facility.
Opening in the Fall of 2007, Golden Knights Plaza will feature the 10,000 seat UCF Convocation Center as its focal point surrounded by 2,000 student apartments, 100,000+ square feet of retail and restaurant space and three parking garages.
The major component of Golden Knights Plaza is the wide variety of restaurants and retail opportunities. Merchants at Golden Knight Plaza will benefit from activity coming from the campus and the surrounding areas. Below are some vendors being considered or currently negotiating for space in the plaza.
As the focal point of Golden Knights Plaza, the new Convocation Center will offer just over 10,000 seats in its largest seating configuration.
